Norwell to continue support for ONGC deepwater drilling project

ABERDEEN, UK – ONGC has awarded Norwell Engineering a $30 million-plus contract to supply well engineering, completion design and project management services at the KG-DWN-98/2 field development in the Bay of Bengal.
Norwell will continue work it has previously undertaken on the 28-well deepwater development under a program, initially awarded in 2018 to design and drill the wells.
Under the new second phase, the company will oversee final drilling and completions work for the three-rig campaign.
Iain Adams, managing director, said: “This is a complex field development which utilizes some of the most advanced oil field technologies in drilling and completions.”
