Aker BP to drill two wells offshore southern Norway

Aker BP has authorization from the NPD to drill two wells on the Mugnetind prospect in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

OSLO, Norway Aker BP has authorization from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) to drill two wells on the Mugnetind prospect in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

The jackup Maersk Integrator will drill the wildcat and appraisal wells, 7/11-14 S and A, in production license 906. These will be the first and second wells drilled in the license.

The wells will be drilled about 13 km (8.1 mi) west of the Ula field.

Aker BP is the operator with 60% interest. Longboat Energy Norge AS and DNO Norge AS each hold 20%.
