STAVANGER, Norway – Wintershall Dea Norge has contracted Saipem’s semisubmersible Scarabeo 8 to drill six development wells on the Nova field in the Norwegian North Sea.
The contract, which includes options for further wells in the North Sea, is due to start in 4Q.
The Scarabeo 8, designated a “zero pollution and zero discharge” drilling rig, is equipped for operations in harsh environments.
