DYCE, UKSpirit Energy has awarded TWMA a five-year drilling waste management services contract in the North Sea.

The program starts with the Grove North East gas well in the UK southern North Sea, to be drilled by the harsh-environment jackup Maersk Resolve.

The rig is due to mobilize to the UK from Denmark this spring.

Spirit will gain access to TWMA’s full skip & ship, bulk cuttings transfer, NORM and drill cuttings processing services, using the TCC RotoMill.

This can be deployed offshore at the rig site, allowing drill cuttings to be processed at source, reducing the cost and emissions associated with shipping them to shore via supply vessels to onshore process sites.

TCC RotoMill is said to deliver uninterrupted, high ROP drilling in the harshest offshore environments by eliminating waiting on weather time normally experienced during drill cuttings handling.
