BERGEN, Norway – Lundin Energy has signed a letter of intent with Odfjell Drilling for a potential multi-well campaign offshore Norway involving the semisubmersible Deepsea Stavanger.
Subject to finalization of contract and final approvals, the program should start this summer on completion of the rig’s current five-well assignment for Aker BP, with one firm well plus eight optional wells.
Equinor will take Odfjell’s semisub Deepsea Atlantic for an additional well under the terms of a contract agreed in May 2018, after the rig has completed its current scope in 2Q.
