    LUANDA, Angola – Valaris’ drillship DS-12 has started a drilling campaign for the bp-led partnership on the Platina project in block 18 offshore Angola.

    The development comprises four production and two injection wells on the Platina field, which will be tied back to the FPSO Grande Plutónio.

    bp and Sinopec are targeting 44 MMbbl of oil, with a projected production rate of 30,000 b/d, and the program is due to be completed within 12 months.
