Noble stacks semisub, jackup

Noble Corp. plc has issued an update on its offshore drilling rig fleet.

LONDON Noble Corp. plc has issued an update on its offshore drilling rig fleet.

Qatar Gas has extended the contract for the jackup Noble Mick O’Brien from late August 2020 to mid-November 2020.

Saudi Aramco has put the jackup Noble Scott Marks on standby from May 2020 to May 2021. Also, the contract has been extended to July 2023.

In the UK North Sea, CNOOC has contracted the jackup Noble Sam Hartley. The contract is expected to run from mid-August 2020 to mid-December 2020. It also includes four one-well options.

Total has awarded the jackup Noble Sam Turner a one-well contract in the UK North Sea. It is expected to start in late August 2020.

Offshore Vietnam, an unnamed operator has canceled a contract for the semisubmersible Noble Clyde Boudreaux. The rig has been warm stacked.

The drilling contractor has also warm stacked the jackup Noble Houston Colbert. The rig completed its contract with RockRose Energy in the UK on April 24, 2020.

Offshore Guyana, the drillship Noble Tom Madden’s three-year award under the CEA framework agreement with ExxonMobil is expected to start in mid-February 2021.
