OSLO, Norway – Equinor has permission Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority for exploration drilling in license PL942 in the Norwegian Sea.
This month, the semisubmersible West Phoenix should start drilling well 6507/2-5 S on the Dønna terrace, 20 km (12.4 mi) northwest of the Aker BP-operated Skarv field.
Water depth is 332 m (1,089 ft). The program should take 53 days to complete.
