ConocoPhillips has selected Duffy & McGovern Accommodation Services (DMAS) to provide offshore accommodation units for its Magnolia TLP project in the Gulf of Mexico. The six cabins, each housing eight workers, will supplement the platform's permanent living quarters during installation and commissioning of the platform. At 4,700 ft, the Magnolia field is a record depth for a TLP installation.

The cabins meet new US Coast Guard regulations for A60 fire resistance and include integrated fire detection.

With luxury outfitting, the linkable units include full ventilation, air conditioning, and en-suite bathrooms. In addition to the units, DMAS will supply external walkways and stairs, power generators, and a sewage treatment module.

Duffy and McGovern's cabins fully meet the latest safety codes and regulations. The accommodation cabins were reviewed by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for compliance with ABS Rules and USCG requirements.
