GULF OF MEXICO -- Installation of the oil spill control chamber is under way offshore Louisiana at the site of the leaking well. The Q4000drilling rig is handling the placement efforts on location in Mississippi Canyon 252.
The vessel is 40 x 24 x 14 ft (12 x 7 x 4 m) in size and weighs about 100 tons (90.7 metric tons).
