Nigel Hearne, executive vice president, Oil, Products & Gas, will retire from Chevron after 35 years of service to the company. Chevron vice chairman Mark Nelson will succeed Hearne, effective Oct. 1. Rhonda Morris, vice president (VP) and chief human resources officer, will retire after 31 years of service to the company. Michelle Green, current VP of human resources, Oil, Products & Gas, will succeed Morris, effective Jan. 1, 2025. Colin Parfitt, VP, Midstream, will retire after 29 years of service to the company. Lastly, Andy Walz has been promoted to president, Downstream, Midstream & Chemicals, effective Oct. 1.

Don Sewell has been appointed president of NG Energy International Corp. (NGE). The company has accepted Serafino Iacono's resignation as director and co-chairman of the board and Federico Restrepo-Solano’s resignation as a director of NGE. Restrepo-Solano resigned as president and chief development officer. Iacono and Restrepo-Solano are both stepping down as members of the board to pursue other endeavors, but they intend to continue to support the company in consulting roles. CEO and Chairman Brian Paes-Braga will serve as the sole chairman of the board.

Manufacturer BIRNS has invested in a new extreme depth hydrostatic pressure testing facility. The new system includes a custom-designed pressure vessel capable of tests to 20,000 psi (1,380 bar), which features angular positioning and can simulate sinusoidal motion. The facility also allows technicians to utilize more than one testing vessel concurrently.
