David B. Robson, current chairman and CEO of Veritas DGC Inc. will officially step down in March. After a four-month search, the company's board of directors has appointed Thierry Pilenko to replace Robson effective March 1, 2004, subject to the receipt of immigration documents that will allow Pilenko to live and work in the US.
Pilenko served as managing director of SchlumbergerSema in Paris since 2001. From 1998-2001, he was president of Houston based Geoquest, another Schlumberger Ltd. company.

"We are very pleased to have Thierry Pilenko join Veritas DGC. His global experience in the oil and gas service sector makes him a perfect fit for the company. He is just the type of top notch executive we were seeking and we are confident that he will continue to build on Veritas DGC's reputation for providing quality products and services to the oil and gas industry through the excellence of its people and its technology," Robson said.
