Offshore staff

EDINBURGH, UK --Melrose Resources Plc. has appointed David Howard Thomas as chief executive.

With 28 years of experience in the international oil and gas industry, Thomas has worked for Conoco, Lasmo, and Eni. Most recently, he was with Centurion Energy International Inc. as president and COO.

He holds a BS degree in mining engineering and an MS degree in petroleum engineering.

"I am particularly pleased that he (Thomas) has recent experience of working in the Egyptian oil and gas industry (with Centurion Energy) as Egypt is a core area for Melrose," says Robert Adair, executive chairman.
