Superior Offshore appoints Glass general manager

LAFAYETTE, Louisiana -- Superior Offshore International has appointed Joe Glass as general manager of the company's marine department. Frank Feurtado, former general manager of the marine department, will serve as operations manager for the marine department.

Glass's duties include planning, directing, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of Superior Offshore International's fleet as well as reviewing project plans to determine time frames, limitations, procedures, safety management, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.

"Joe's industry-proven leadership not only strengthens our marine department, but will give the department the depth and insight needed as Superior Offshore implements the requirements mandated by the international and deepwater arenas," says Jim Mermis, president and CEO of Superior Offshore International.
