Woodside appoints CFO

Offshore staff

PERTH, Australia -- Woodside Petroleum Ltd. has appointed Mark Chatterji as chief financial officer, effective immediately. He has been acting CFO since Nov. 1, 2006.

Chatterji has an MBA in finance and risk management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of science degree from Georgetown University in Washington. He has held senior finance roles over the past 10 years, including positions at Merrill Lynch in New York, Atlantic Richfield Co. in Los Angeles, Goldman Sachs in New York, and most recently commercial director at Woodside.
