Adm. Thad W. Allen joins Rand Corp.

After completing his service as national incident commander of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Adm. Thad W. Allen will join the RAND Corp. as a senior fellow, effective Oct. 4.

SANTA MONICA, California -- After completing his service as national incident commander of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Adm. Thad W. Allen will join the RAND Corp. as a senior fellow, effective Oct. 4.

Allen will be based in the RAND office in Arlington, Virginia. His work will focus on homeland security, ocean policy, and defense policy issues.
