Devon Energy has appointed John Richels as CEO. He will remain the company’s president.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma -- Devon Energy has appointed John Richels as CEO. He will remain the company’s president.

Richels succeeds J. Larry Nichols, Devon’s co-founder and chairman. Nichols will continue as the company’s executive chairman.
