Offshore staff

(Houston)- Independent oil and gas company W&T Offshore, Inc. announced that Stephen A. Landry, senior vice president and chief financial officer, has resigned effective May 31, 2006.

Mr. Landry had taken a leave of absence under the Family & Medical Leave Act as of March 27, 2006. The Board of Directors is currently conducting a search for Mr. Landry's successor.

William W. Talafuse, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, continues as interim CFO.
