WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has appointed Alexis J. Bayer as director of energy and resources policy. Bayer was previously a legislative assistant for Sen. John Ensign for more than five years, advising him on matters related to energy, trade, and foreign affairs.
"Energy is a top concern for American manufacturers who need abundant and affordable supplies," says Engler. "Alexis, with her wealth of experience working on energy issues on Capitol Hill, will be instrumental in helping the NAM convey this message to Congress. We are glad that she could join our top-notch team of policy experts."
Bayer's areas of focus include climate change legislation, nuclear energy, energy efficiency, and chemical security.
