NEW ORLEANS -- Energy Partners Ltd. has named Steve Longon executive VP and COO. Longon will oversee all aspects of EPL's operations, including exploration, drilling, and production. He reports to Richard Bachmann, chairman and CEO.
Longon joined EPL as senior VP of drilling and engineering in July 2007, and was named senior VP of drilling, engineering, and production in February 2008.
Prior to joining EPL, Longon served as general manager of production and operations for Dominion E&P Inc. He also has worked for Vastar Resources Inc. as manager in a variety of GOM operational roles. From 1979 to 1993, he worked for ARCO.
"Steve Longon's 29 years of relevant experience in the GOM both on the shelf and in deepwater has brought significant breadth and depth of operational knowledge to EPL," says Bachmann.
