BG Group director retires

READING, UK -- Paul Collins, a non-executive director of BG Group, will retire, effective Dec. 31, 2008.

Collins joined the board of BG Group on Oct. 23, 2000, and was nominated by the board as the senior independent director in 2005. Baroness Hogg who was appointed as a non-executive director in 2005, will assume the role of the senior independent director, effective Jan. 1, 2009.
