Santos has appointed Peter Coates as deputy chairman. Coates has been a director of Santos since March 2008.

ADELAIDE, Australia -- Santos has appointed Peter Coates as deputy chairman. Coates has been a director of Santos since March 2008. He is chairman of Xstrata Australia and former CEO of Xstrata Coal, Xstrata Plc's global coal business. He is also chairman of Minara Resources.
