FORT WORTH, Texas -- XTO Energy has promoted Keith A. Hutton to CEO. Bob R. Simpson, a founder of the company in 1986 and CEO since 1993, will continue as the chairman of the board and founder of XTO Energy. Vaughn O. Vennerberg II, senior executive VP and chief of staff, has been promoted to president of the company.
