Quantapoint names CEO

Quantapoint has appointed John Wilson as president and CEO.

HOUSTON -- Quantapoint has appointed John Wilson as president and CEO. Wilson succeeds Eric Hoffman, founder of the company. Wilson will focus full-time on the ongoing development of Quantapoint's innovative and award-winning laser scanning technology and services.

Wilson has held a number of senior-level management positions in the upstream oil and gas service industry. These include executive VP at Landmark Graphics, a division of Halliburton, and president and CEO of Trade-Ranger Inc., a procurement portal owned by a consortium of some of the largest companies in the oil and gas industry, including BP, Shell, Total, ConocoPhillips, and Dow Chemical.

Most recently, Wilson was president and CEO of Terra Global, a company offering geophysical services to the oil and gas industry in West Africa.
