BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- John Richardson has been appointed president and COO of Energen Resources Corp. He succeeds James T. McManus, II, who is now Energen's chairman and CEO.
"John has been a key player in Energen Resources' growth from a small, niche player in coalbed methane development in Alabama to one of the top 20 independent oil and gas producers in the US," says McManus. "As the head of our acquisitions program, John has been instrumental to our success. His broad-based oil and gas background and his 22-year knowledge of Energen Resources will serve him well as he oversees the day-to-day operations of our growing oil and gas exploration and production business."
