LAYFAYETTE, Louisiana –The US Minerals Management Service has awarded Main Pass block 115 to Leed Petroleum following last October's lease sale.
MP 115 is 83 mi (113 km) southeast of New Orleans in 50 ft (15 m) of water.
"Drilling plans for Main Pass 115 are at an advanced stage and we will integrate the project into our operations schedule as soon as planning and permitting constraints allow," says Howard Wilson, president and CEO of Leed.
