Wang Yilin becomes new CNOOC Ltd. chairman

CNOOC Ltd. has elected Wang Yilin as its new chairman of the board and non-executive director.

BEIJING – CNOOC Ltd. has elected Wang Yilin as its new chairman of the board and non-executive director. Yilin comes from China National Offshore Oil Corp. where he was chairman.

Fu Chengyu has resigned as chairman and non-executive director of CNOOC Ltd.

Yilin has served as the deputy director and chief exploration geologist of Xinjiang Petroleum Administration Bureau, general manager of Xinjiang Oilfield Co., senior executive of Xinjiang Petroleum Administration Bureau, assistant to general manager of China National Petroleum Corp., deputy general manager of CNPC, safety director of CNPC, and director of PetroChina Co. Ltd.
