(US,GoM) - Apache Corp. reported that approximately half of its gross operated natural gas production and one-third of its gross operated oil production onshore, and offshore in the GoM are back on-stream in the wake of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

"Hurricane Rita caused significantly less damage to Apache facilities than Katrina," said Steven Farris, Apache president and CEO. "We lost one structure at Ship Shoal block 193 B. Restoring the bulk of our Gulf volumes currently affected by Rita is largely dependent upon the timing of repairs to third-party pipelines and facilities damaged by the storm."
