He also will continue to serve as the president and CEO of Western Gas Holdings LLC. Anadarko has also named Bruce W. Busmire as VP, chief accounting officer, and treasurer.
Petro Summit Investment has appointedD. Roy Phillips as CEO. Phillips started his career with Exxon, followed by 18 years with Kerr-McGee Corp.
Norsk Hydro ASA has addedInge K. Hansen to the company’s board of directors. He replaces Svein Rennemo, who resigned.
Hydratight has appointedAndrew Silver as global finance director. Silver will manage the company’s financial organization and IT systems growth.
Transocean has appointedArnaud Bobillier as executive VP of assets. Bobillier previously was senior VP of the company’s Europe and Africa unit, which covers offshore drilling operations in 15 countries. Ricardo Rosa has been named senior VP of EAU, replacing Bobillier. Deepak Munganahalli will succeed Rosa as VP of APU.

Thalassa Energy has appointedDavid Thomas, former MD of MedOil, to its board. Thomas is a geologist with 35 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, mainly in North and West Africa.
Total has changed its senior management organization. Chaired by CEOChristophe de Margerie, the executive committee now has six total members: François Cornelis, president of chemicals and vice chairman of the executive committee; Yves-Louis Darricarrère, president of exploration and production; Michel Bénézit, president of refining and marketing; Robert Castaigne, CFO; and Jean-Jacques Guilbaud, chief administrative officer.

Marathon Oil has made the following changes to its senior management team:Steven B. Hinchman, currently senior VP of worldwide production, has been named executive VP of technology and services. He will be responsible for health, environment, and safety; upstream technology; emerging technology; major projects; corporate social responsibility; and commercial services.
David E. Roberts Jr. , currently senior VP of business development, has been named executive VP of upstream. He will be responsible for worldwide exploration, production, and integrated gas, as well as upstream business development.
R. Douglas Rogers, currently organizational VP of environment, safety, and emergency response, has been named VP of health, environment, and safety. His responsibilities will also include emergency preparedness and security.
Daniel J. Sullenbarger, currently VP of corporate responsibility, has been named VP of corporate compliance and ethics. Sullenbarger will be responsible for Marathon’s business integrity office and will serve as the company’s chief compliance officer.

Dynamic Offshore Resources and Moreno Group Holdings have purchased a combined 75% interest in SPN Resources for $165 million. The acquired properties include approximately 180 producing wells with current net daily production of 11,000 boe/d. The transaction includes interests in 31 offshore blocks covering approximately 100,000 net acres.
RPS has acquired UK-based WTW; a business providing technical services in support of oil and gas exploration projects.
Fugro Global Environmental & Ocean Sciences has opened an office in Perth, Western Australia.
Lundin Norway AS has sold its 70% interest in license PL103B to Det Norske Oljeselskap for $14 million. The 70% interest comprises a 7% unitized interest in the Jotun oil and gas field offshore Norway.
Shell UK and Esso Exploration and Production UK have entered into negotiations with The Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. PJSC for the sale and transfer of its interests in the Tern, Eider, Cormorant North, South Cormorant fields, and related subsea satellite fields and infrastructure.
Lufthansa is commencing its first flights to Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, from April 1, 2008. Using the existing connection from Frankfurt to Abuja, Nigeria, the airline will stop en-route at Malabo. Lufthansa will operate the route thrice-weekly with an Airbus A330-300.
Shell Brazil has awarded BJ Tubular Services a three-year contract extension to provide casing and tubing running services offshore Brazil. The new agreement extends the company’s activities in the region until 2011.
Dana Gas has agreed to explore and develop its western offshore concession in Sharjah, UAE. The deal marks Dana Gas’ entry into the Gulf Corporation Council E&P sector, and is also the first offshore upstream asset for the company in the Middle East.
IHC Merwede has acquired The Engineering Business. The company, based in Northumberland, England, will now trade as IHC The Engineering Business.
Mustang Engineering has signed an MoU with AMOG Consulting for joint development and project implementation of an FPSO, PSO, and other floating facilities.
Bourbon has awarded Schilling Robotics an initial order for four ultra heavy-duty ROV systems to be delivered during 2008 and 2009.
BP Exploration Caspian Sea has awarded RBG a four-year contract to provide operations and maintenance support services for offshore and onshore assets. The contract value is estimated to be in excess of $20 million per annum and 200 personnel are employed on delivery of the services.
NQA has awarded ISO 14001:2004 certification to Sulzer Wood, a joint venture between John Wood Group Plc and Sulzer Pumps UK.

Marine Subsea has acquired subsea engineering consultancy Lewis Ltd. for an undisclosed sum.
Peterson Offshore Group and SBS Logistics plan to restructure and re-brand its businesses in the Netherlands and the UK over the next three months. As part of the restructure SBS Logistics will become a wholly owned subsidiary of POG and will be named Peterson-SBS. The existing Dutch companies belonging to the group will also trade under the new name.
StatoilHydro AS has extended its drilling and maintenance service contracts with Odfjell Drilling until 2010. The contract is valued at $194,000.
Celanese has opened the Houston Technology Center for its emulsion polymers and polyvinyl alcohol businesses. The 31,200-sq ft (2,899-sq m) facility will house the company’s R&D and technical services groups. It includes analytical and application testing laboratories for industrial and consumer products.
Varel Europe has expanded its Eastern Hemisphere PDC drill bit manufacturing facility in Tarbes, France.

Edison Chouest Offshore is expanding its Louisiana shipyard operations at the Port of Terrebonne. The investment, requested by Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal in the second special session, reportedly will bring 1,000 new jobs to the area.
Devon Energy Corp. has agreed to sell its oil and gas business in Cote d’Ivoire to Afren for $205 million, subject to government approval. The assets include Devon’s interests in offshore producing block CI-11, offshore undeveloped block CI-01, and the onshore Lion gas processing plant. Devon’s current net production from Cote d’Ivoire is approximately 3,000 boe/d.
GETECH Group Plc has agreed with its Russian partners to sell a new survey on the Russian arctic as a baseline for environmental plans. GETECH says it developed the study from geochemical seabed data to establish a current environmental state in areas of interest to oil companies.
ExxonMobil has assumed operatorship of Frontier Exploration License 3/04 from Providence Resources. The license, which contains the Dunquin exploration prospect, is located in the Porcupine basin, off the west coast of Ireland.
Songa Offshore has awarded Cameron a contract for an EVO subsea BOP stack, subsea controls, drilling riser, and choke manifold for its semisubmersible Deepsea Trym.
Circle Technical Services and Tytan Jetting have merged. The new organization has been named Proserv Abandonment and Decommissioning and is based at Circle’s headquarters in Kintore, near Aberdeen.
Parker Instrumentation has signed a five-year preferred supplier agreement for tube fittings with Maersk Oil. The agreement, which runs until 2012, is expected to provide a logistical model for the companies’ partnership worldwide. To support the agreement, Parker Instrumentation has opened a new products center in Esbjerg, close to Maersk’s headquarters.
Hydro Group has won contracts from Divex to provide pressure hull penetrators for diver decompression and submersible diving chambers.
Emtunga Offshore has won a $12-million order for replacement living quarters for the B11 gas field, offshore Borneo.
Amarinth has selected a new agent in the Scandinavian market, TUROteknikk AS of Norway. According to Amarinth, TUROteknikk, based near Oslo, Norway, gives Amarinth a foothold in the Scandinavian market, with a particular focus on business within the active Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
SOCO Exploration and Production Congo S.A. has agreed to farm-out 8.5% of its interest in the Marine XI block, offshore the Republic of Congo, to Petrovietnam Exploration Production.
StatoilHydro has acquired Anadarko’s 50% interest in the Brazilian Peregrino project, pending government approval. This will give StatoilHydro a 100% working interest and operatorship of the development.
IHS Inc.has acquired Prime Publications, which owns 50% of Lloyd’s Register-Fairplay, for $75.5 million.
Nexen has received approvals to proceed with development of the Usan field, offshore Nigeria.
