ABS has namedTodd Grovepresident of ABS Americas Division, effective May 1. He will replace Robert E. Kramekwho will assume the role of president and COO of ABS at that time U. Inge K Hansenhas been appointed group president and CEO of the new Aker Kværner, one of three groups being created as a result of the restructuring of the current Aker Kværner. Hansen's previous position was acting CEO with Statoil. The new Statoil CEO will be Helge Lund, who was CEO in Aker Kværner U. Anadarko Petroleum Corp. has hired Robert K. Reevesas senior vice president, corporate affairs and law. Reeves will be responsible for the company's legal, government relations, public affairs, information technology, and administration functions.

Victor Schmidt,Exploration Editor of Offshore magazine, has been named Secretary of the Houston Geological Society U. FMC Technologies Inc. has made three key executive appointments. Peter D. Kinnearis executive vice president, with worldwide responsibility for FMC Technologies' Energy Production Systems and Energy Processing Systems businesses. John T. Grempand Tore Halvorsenare vice presidents, with continuing responsibility for FMC Technologies' Energy Production Systems business. Gremp is responsible for the Western Hemisphere, based in Houston, and Halvorsen is responsible for the Eastern Hemisphere, based in Kongsberg, Norway.

Wood Group Pressure Control, a subsidiary of John Wood Group PLC, has announced two new appointments. Reza Hajjari has joined the company as vice president of manufacturing, while Robert (Bob) Duran Jr. has been appointed US sales manager U.Robert E. Rose, chairman of the board of directors of GlobalSantaFe Corp., retired from his role as chairman. Rose engineered the merger of Global Marine Inc. and Santa Fe Corp. He became chairman of the board of the combined company upon the closing of that transaction in November 2001.

GE Energywill supply two compression modules to Petrobras Netherlands BVfor a new floating production unit (FPU) in the Campos basin, off Brazil. The new FPU, designated P52, will be the largest offshore facility in Brazil to extract oil and gas in 2,000 m of water. Yokogawa Electric Corp. will supply the complete upstream measurement and control facilities for the Sakhalin II crude oil and natural gas development project in the Sakhalin Region of the Russian Far East.

ABBin Norway has secured new contracts worth $45 million for delivery of complete electric propulsion systems to two icebreakers to be built for CJSV Sevmorneftegaz by the Norwegian shipyard Havyard Leirvik, and four platform supply vessels to be built in China for Groupe Bourbon by Zhejiang Shipbuilding.
