Technip-Coflexip's offshore branch has promotedIvan Replumaz, senior vice president, business and operations, to CEO. He replaces Thomas Ehret, who has resigned. Knut Boe, who has been named senior executive vice president, marine operations and technical resources of the offshore branch, will assist Ehret. Replacing Boe at the head of the North Sea unit will be Ian Stevenson, who also will continue to manage the Aberdeen-based British affiliate Technip Offshore UK.
Stolt Offshore has announced thatStuart Jackson has been appointed CFO. Jackson is a graduate chartered management accountant with 19 years of energy sector experience, including 11 years in the oil and gas industry.
Apache Corp. has appointedFloyd R. Price and Rodney J. Eichler as corporate executive vice presidents and Jon A. Jeppesen as corporate senior vice president. The company also has selected P. Anthony Lannie as vice president and general counsel. Lannie was formerly president of Kinder Morgan's power group. He has served as general counsel for Coral Energy, Shell Oil Co.'s North American downstream natural gas and power subsidiary, Tejas Gas Corp., and Baroid Corp.
China National Offshore Oil Corp. has appointedZheng Changbo assistant president of refinery and chemicals. Changbo worked for Sinopec as deputy director of refinery division before joining Cnooc. Zheng has a fundamental technical background and rich experience in refinery and chemicals.
J. Ray McDermott, a subsidiary of McDermott International Inc., namedRobert A. "Bob" Deason president and COO of J. Ray. Deason has over 30 years of engineering and construction management experience.
Gas detector manufacturer Crowcon has appointedAndy Avenell to product manager, fixed systems.
Nabors Industries Ltd. has announced thatRichard F. Syron has joined its board of directors. Syron is executive chairman of Thermo Electron Corp., which helps laboratory and industrial cust-omers advance scientific knowledge, enable drug discovery, improve manufacturing processes, and protect people and the environment with instru-ments, scientific equipment, and sample-in/know-ledge-out solutions.
Peak Well Management has appointedBob Lyons as managing director. Lyons joins the company from Enterprise Oil, where he worked for 14 years.
Michael Yanney, director of Forest Oil, has resigned from the board of directors, citing personal reasons.

Cabot Oil and Gas Corp. nominatedRobert Kelley, former chairman, president, and CEO of Noble Affiliates Inc., to the company's board of directors. In addition, after 12 years of serving as a director, Henry O. Boswell was slated to retire from the company's board after the annual shareholder's meeting in April in accordance with the mandatory retirement policy of the board. C. Wayne Nance and Art Smith also are resigning from the board of directors.

Weatherford International Ltd.'s drilling and intervention services division has completed the formation of a full services well interventions group. The move brings all of Weatherford's intervention offerings under one product line, which will operate within the Weatherford organization as WellServ Intervention Services.
eProduction Solutions (eP), automation and optimization solution company for production oil and gas fields, has acquired the assets of Premier Instruments, the makers of the Red Eye a multiphase metering system. This is a part of eP's strategy to provide complete oil and gas field solutions for production management, automation, and optimization.
Duffy and McGovern, supplier of A60 offshore accommodation cabins, has completed two global orders within days of them being placed. Each order required the company to upgrade and deliver a high-specification cabin within a week. Duffy and McGovern carried out both orders from its stock of new generation cabins at its disposal.
Aquatic Engineering and Construction Ltd., an oil and gas service company, has purchased Ansys DesignSpace structural analysis software to assist its engineering department in equipment development, while increasing Aquatic's capacity for in-house structural analysis.
Sproule Associates Inc. and Global Gas Group LLC announced the formation of a new alliance created to provide a comprehensive package of services for companies involved in the design, development, and operations of natural gas storage facilities. These services include reservoir engineer-ing and geologic evaluations as well as addressing operational and facility issues related to gas storage.
Jason Geosystems BV has signed a contract with ChevronTexaco to provide its 3D integrated quantitative reservoir characterization software. ChevronTexaco will use Jason's modeling and inversion software as well as its E Plus software for quantitative analysis and visualization of results. The Linux and parallel processing capabilities will be used to expedite analysis in larger survey areas.
BJ Tubular Services has a contract from Mærsk Olie og Gas AS of Denmark to provide hammer conductor driving services, conductor running and make-up services, and conductor cold-cutting services, and is managing rental chasers for its assets in the Danish sector of the North Sea.
Halliburton has sold its Wellstream business for $136 million to Candover Partners Ltd., a European buyout group. The sale of Wellstream is part of Halliburton's previously announced plan to divest of non-strategic assets. Wellstream is a global provider of high quality spoolable pipeline products, systems, and solutions.
El Paso Energy Partners has awarded MCS a contract to deliver the export steel catenary riser design on the Red Hawk development in Garden Banks block 877 in the Gulf of Mexico. El Paso operates the export pipeline, which connects the Red Hawk cell Spar in more than 5,300 ft of water with the ANR Patterson pipeline system. MCS also has been awarded a six figure contract for the integrity management of all BP's flexible riser and flexible flowline assets within their Foinaven and Schiehallion fields in the North Sea.
Cleansorb has announced full registration of its Arcasolve range of well treatment chemicals for offshore use. The announcement comes after recent successful treatments in the North Sea.
IHI has awarded FCX Truflo Rona a contract to manufacture low temperature, top entry ball valves for use in the liquid and vapor gas lines onboard an LPG-FPSO vessel. Manual and remote operated valves will be supplied in sizes up to 200 mm diameter, and ANSI 150-lb, and 300-lb pressure ratings.
YZ Systems Milton Roy has placed several new Chemjex multi-point phosphate offshore injection systems in Malaysian offshore oil and gas production fields. The electrically-driven positive-displacement skid system, injects 3 to 30 gal/d at pressures from 30 to 1,000 psi.
