Offshore staff

HOUSTON — The bp board has appointed Murray Auchincloss CEO with immediate effect, four months after the resignation of Bernard Looney. Murray, who has been interim CEO since September 2023, will continue as a member of the bp board.  Before becoming interim CEO in September 2023, Auchincloss had been bp’s CFO since July 2020, at which time he also joined bp’s board. OEG Energy has named David Carr chief commercial officer. He was previously senior vice president international at Helix Energy Solutions.

Indonesia Energy Corp. (IEC), an oil and gas E&P company focused on Indonesia, has appointed Mirza Said COO and Charlie Wu CTO. IEC also has appointed Ahmad Fathurachman a new independent member of the company’s board of directors. Fathurachman replaces Tamba Hutapea, who is retiring as a member of the board of directors.

Andrew Flanagan has been appointed the new CEO of RWE Clean Energy. Flanagan was to date the company’s chief development officer. Mark Noyes, the current CEO of RWE Clean Energy, decided to step down from the management of the company by mutual consent.

Elemental Energies, an independent wells expert, has named Willem Boon von Ochssee head of wells.

Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions, an Irish-based offshore wind energy consultancy firm and a Venterra Group company, has appointed Jonathan Bull its new managing director.

Consumer Energy Alliance has added Leslie Liedtke Griffin to the team as executive vice president of affiliate member relations and foundation coordination.

Danfoss Drives has appointed Hannes Leichtfried head of sales and marketing in North America.

Pharos Energy Plc has appointed Dr. Bill Higgs an independent non-executive director. In parallel with this appointment, he will continue his role as chairman of Chappal Energies Mauritius Ltd., a West Africa-focused energy company.
