ABERDEEN, Scotland — North Sea operator Ithaca Energy Plc has announced that its CEO Alan Bruce, after leading the company through a successful IPO and first year as a listed company, has agreed with the board that he will step down from his role to pursue new opportunities.

The board will progress with a formal search process to appoint a new CEO as soon as possible and will update the market in due course. Until a new CEO is appointed, Iain Lewis will fulfil a dual role of interim CEO, with immediate effect, as well as continuing as CFO. Lewis will work alongside Executive Chairman Gilad Myerson and the company’s leadership team.

Bruce held the CEO position since August 2021. Prior to this role, he worked with ConocoPhillips for almost 17 years in various management positions.
