Vineyard Offshore has named Alicia Barton CEO, starting in January. Barton will take over for Lars T. Pedersen, who has led the company since it was founded in 2022.
The integration of the Serica Energy and Tailwind organizations and processes has been progressed since the completion of the Tailwind acquisition in March 2023. Serica CIO Steve Edwards, former Tailwind COO Dave Freeman and former Tailwind Executive Director Tom Ujejski will be ending their roles with Serica by the end of March 2024. The annual general meeting of the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) marked the hand over to new elected officers in three senior posts: Benj Sykes, Ørsted's vice president, head of environment, consenting and external affairs, has been elected SUT’s president; Nick Swift becomes honorary secretary; and Mick Cook returns as honorary treasurer. Sue John continues in her role as SUT’s chair. The outgoing SUT president is Moya Crawford. SUT is a multidisciplinary learned society that brings together organizations and individuals with a common interest in underwater technology, ocean science and offshore engineering.
