Offshore staff 

HOUSTON — bp's search for a new chief executive is set to extend into the first quarter of 2024, three sources told Reuters, while the board's probe into whether previous CEO Bernard Looney breached the code of conduct in his undisclosed personal relationships with staff drags on, Reuters reported.

Corvus Energy, a Norway-based provider of battery energy storage solutions and fuel cell systems for maritime, offshore and port applications, has appointed Fredrik Witte CEO, starting Jan. 1, 2024.  Until Witte starts, CFO Mette Rokne Hanestad will serve as interim CEO.

Gazelle Wind Power has appointed Álvaro Ortega CFO. Ortega is the former vice president of finance at Avangrid Inc.

Serica Energy Plc CFO Andy Bell has informed the board of his intention to step down from his role in 2024. He has held the role since September 2004. Bell will be replaced by Martin Copeland in the new year. Read more. 

Talos Energy Inc. has appointed John Spath as executive vice president and head of operations. Spath will have responsibility for the company's upstream business operations.

Andrew Mueller has joined Crowley as vice president of government relations where he will be leading the company’s activities at the federal level with members of Congress and the US Administration. 

Paradigm Group has appointed Herwin Cruz regional vice president for Latin America covering drilling, well intervention, production enhancement and fire protection services.

CRC Evans, a provider of welding and coating services, technologies and integrated solutions, has appointed Leon Dashwood strategic growth director on the company’s senior leadership team. 

Noble Corp. Plc's board of directors has appointed H. Keith Jennings to serve as a director as well as chair of the audit committee.

Maha Energy AB has announced the composition of the nomination committee for its 2024 annual general meeting to be held in May 2024 in Stockholm. The members are Rodrigo Pires, representing Turmalina Fundo de Investimento em Participações Multiestratégia; Luis Araujo, representing DBO Invest S.A.; Edwyn Neves, representing Banco BTG Pactual S.A.; and Paulo Thiago Mendonça, chairman of Maha Energy AB.

AquaTerra Group has completed a management buyout led by Managing Director Stephen Taylor for a seven-figure sum. Taylor has acquired the majority share of the company, while Commercial Director Nigel Whitton and Marine Services Director Frank Hall have become minority shareholders.

X-Academy, an energy jobs accelerator that works in partnership with governments, the private and public sectors in the UK and beyond, has named Andy Samuel strategic adviser.

COMPANY NEWS

International subsea equipment rental and solutions specialist Ashtead Technology has further expanded its mechanical solutions service offering with the acquisition of ACE Winches.

CGG has entered into a definitive agreement with Industrialization and Energy Services Co. (TAQA) to sell its entire 49% stake in Arabian Geophysical and Surveying Co. (ARGAS). The transaction is expected to close this year.

Enteq Technologies, an energy services technology supplier, has opened its new office in Aberdeen. Heading up the Aberdeen office is Mark Ritchie, Enteq's recently appointed CFO.

Offshore solutions firm OEG Energy Group Ltd. has agreed to acquire Bluestream Offshore, a specialist in subsea and topside services based in the Netherlands, for an undisclosed consideration.

Energy and marine consultancy ABL has opened an office at Batam in Indonesia to support the offshore and maritime operations that take place on and off the island.

Fugro will build a new international head office in Nootdorp, the Netherlands. The new premises are strategically located near The Hague and Rotterdam. To be built directly next to the existing Fugro TechCenter, the office will bring the majority of Fugro employees in the Netherlands together in one place.

Equinor and Chappal Energies have entered into an agreement for the sale of Equinor Nigeria Energy Co. (ENEC), which holds a 53.85% ownership in oil and gas lease OML 128, including the unitized 20.21% stake in the Agbami oil field, operated by Chevron. Read more. 

BMT has formed a long-term agreement with Singapore-based Strategic Marine, forging a powerful collaboration aimed at driving the offshore wind crew vessel industry toward a more sustainable future. This partnership will introduce design solutions to meet emissions-reduction goals, specifically focusing on advancing the StratCat range of crew transfer vessel designs.

Bekaert has acquired 75% of shares in Flintstone Technology Ltd. Scotland-based Flintstone provides mooring technology, systems design and testing capabilities for the global offshore energy markets.

Levare International Ltd., a provider of artificial lift engineering, manufacturing, sales and servicing of electric submersible pumps, has opened a fully integrated manufacturing and repair center in Monterrey, Mexico.
