HOUSTON — VAALCO Energy Inc. has promoted Thor Pruckl to COO. Pruckl has more than 30 years of international and domestic development, E&P and midstream experience in both onshore and offshore energy operations.
Former CTO Dr. Gernot Ramminger is taking over as managing director of GAF AG, a company in the fields of earth observation, geodata, services and consulting. Ramminger has held senior positions at GAF for many years and takes over from Dr. Sebastian Carl.
ASCO has appointed Ross Irvine general manager of its ship agency (Seletar) and freight management (AFM) service lines. Irvine steps into his new role following the promotion of his predecessor Mike Pettigrew, who was recently appointed managing director for ASCO UK.
Verlume, a specialist in clean energy system integration, intelligent energy management and energy storage, has appointed Robert Heron to the new role of product manager. He will work to align the company’s capabilities within intelligent energy management with the customer requirements across multiple industry sectors, including the subsea energy transition, offshore wind and the defense and security segments.
Siemens Gamesa has appointed Christian Bruch, who is president and CEO of Siemens Energy AG and member of Siemens Gamesa’s board of directors, its new non-executive chairman.
The Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) has appointed Woodside CEO Meg O’Neill chair and Beach Energy CEO Morné Engelbrecht vice chair. O’Neill was elected to the APPEA board in 2019 and has served as vice chair for the past year, and Engelbrecht was elected to the board in 2021. APPEA also has welcomed two new directors: Dan Clark of ConocoPhillips Australia Pty Ltd. and Joel Riddle of Tamboran Resources Ltd.
