VAALCO appoints new CEO

HOUSTON – The VAALCO Energy Inc. board of directors has named George Maxwell as CEO.
Maxwell, who has been a non-executive director of the company since June 2020 and resides in the UK, will continue to serve as a board member. He is expected to split his time between London and Houston.
He succeeds Cary Bounds, who served as CEO since 2016.
