Aramco signs technology, procurement agreements with multiple US suppliers

Saudi Aramco has signed 34 deals and MoUs for a range of digital services, lower-carbon initiatives, robots, drones, and other industrial products.

Saudi Aramco has signed 34 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements with US companies, via its Aramco Group Companies division.

In the field of Technology & Innovation, Aramco entered:

  • A non-binding strategic framework agreement with Amazon/AWS concerning a collaboration on digital transformation and lower-carbon initiatives.
  • An MoU with NVIDIA to develop industrial AI computing infrastructure, establishing an AI hub and AI Enterprise platforms, an engineering and robotics center, and training/upskilling
  • An MoU with Qualcomm on a strategic collaboration focused on digital transformation. This will employ Aramco Digital’s 450 MHz 5G industrial network to connect intelligent edge devices with on-device AI capabilities, including smartphones, rugged industrial systems, robots, drones, cameras, and sensors.

Other MoUs for Procured Materials and Services involve strengthening Aramco’s existing relationships with Air Products, Baker Hughes, Flowserve, GE Vernova, Halliburton, Helmerich & Payne, Honeywell, KBR, McDermott, NESR, NOV, SLB, Valaris, and Weatherford.
