SOFEC sending third CALM Buoy for crude transfers offshore Hawaii

Par Hawaii Refining Co. has asked SOFEC to supply a replacement CALM Buoy at Barbers Point offshore Oahu, Hawaii.

SOFEC previously placed CALM Buoys at this location in 1987 and 2010.

The newest delivery, a SOFEC turntable type CALM Buoy, will be moored in 31 m water depth and will be designed to berth tankers up to 150,000 DWT and for transfers of crude oil, bunker fuel and white oil for use in Hawaii.
