Offshore staff
MEUDON, France — Petrobras has contracted Vallourec to supply 1,800 metric tons of premium carbon steel tubes with Glass Reinforced Epoxy liners (GRE technology) and corrosion-resistant alloy accessories.
The products will be used in various offshore development wells, mainly in the presalt Campos Basin offshore Brazil.
The award is an addition to the three-year agreement with Petrobras for the supply of OCTG tubes announced in January 2023.
Vallourec’s scope includes stock management, rig preparation and transportation, integrated field services, and receiving, inspecting and supervising the installation of pipe strings.
The company will manufacture the finished products at its local factory in Barreiro, Minas Gerais. The GRE technology component is a partnership with Tuboscope NOV.
Last year Vallourec also won two major orders to supply line pipes for phases 6 and 8 of the Buzios oil field development operated by Petrobras.
