OSLO, NorwayTotalEnergies has concluded that the transformer supplying power to the intermediate pressure (IP) gas compressor at the Tyra II complex in the Danish North Sea needed to be repaired.

Technical issues have been impacting commissioning of the newly onstream facilities during the ramp-up and testing period.

According to partner BlueNord, repair work has started with a team working on options to partially resume gas exports from Tyra II as soon as possible. Re-instatement of satellite fields and wells connected to the complex is progressing.

TotalEnergies anticipates that at times during May and June there will be minimal residual export volumes flowing through the Tyra hub for the commissioning program and entering the export system.

In July gas exports should resume and then increase, reaching full technical capacity during the fall.
