HOUSTON – Bureau Veritas has introduced the Veristar AIM 3D asset integrity management system, based on technology partner Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

The new solution is said to combine a digital twin of any offshore or marine assets with smart data in a collaborative environment.

It can be deployed from the design stage through construction and throughout the operational lifecycle of an offshore facility, reflecting and predicting the condition of any asset or fleet of assets.

The solution supports risk-based inspection and condition-based maintenance approaches.
Veristar AIM3D provides asset management dashboards that are said to facilitate smarter decisions based on improved visibility of the asset’s actual condition and performance.

This, Bureau Veritas claims, leads to reduced costs during operations and return of experience data to better inform design and construction, helping the users to reduce capex.

The technology is designed to connect surveyors, drones, and specialists with data through mobile applications, cloud-based systems and enterprise software solutions.

According to Matthieu de Tugny, COO, Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore: “Our priority is to support operators’ opex and capex challenges while either maintaining or raising safety standards.

“This solution helps operators minimize risk and maximize return on their assets. Assets can now be designed and operated using digital capability.”

During the design phases prior to construction, the system can be used to achieve plan approval on 3D models which can then be applied throughout an asset’s life.

When exploited to its full potential, Bureau Veritas, adds, the system could transform preparation and reporting of maintenance and repair activities.

Data, presented in concise dashboards, will be immediately available to all personnel accessing the asset Veristar AIM3D platform. Accumulated data across asset types and through life should also enable a combination of predictive responses and feedback into better designs, the company adds.

Bureau Veritas is demonstrating the system at booth #3251 in the French Pavilion.
