SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Moyno Offshore has delivered progressing cavity pumps to an offshore oil service company that designs, builds and operates a fleet of ships to support the drilling industry.

The fleet delivers bulk drilling mud and other liquid materials to a drill site and then removes it and transports it to an onshore facility for recycling. The ships are designed with very large holding tanks to handle the amount of material transported each way.

A pumping system was needed to move the liquid in and out of these tanks, and the company needed it meet the requirements of varying specific gravities for the different liquids being pumped.

"Moyno's ability to deliver a steady flow from the ocean's surface to the considerable deep depths of the drilling platforms made it the ideal choice for this application," says Dave Doty, manager sales and marketing North America, Moyno.
