WORCESTER, UK --Calder Ltd. has been awarded a £2 million ($4 million) contract by Aker Kvaerner in Norway for eight glycol (MEG) injection Hammelmann pumps driven by electric motors. They are destined for the new build semisubmersible production platform on the Statoil's Gjøa field.

Aker Kvaerner is carrying out the detailed design of topside and hull, procurement and construction, and hook-up and mating of topside and hull.
On the strength of this contract and in the face of growing demand, Calder has appointed Tore Hanssen as their country manager based in Oslo.
