HOUSTON --Distributed Energy Systems Corp. in partnership with Elliott Energy Systems is launching the MPower MT-100 microturbine-based power module designed for oil and gas applications.

In addition to providing the smallest-footprint microturbine, the MPower MT-100 is stackable, allowing for maximum power density in a limited space. The modular design of the MT-100 can be scaled to meet requirements while offering redundancy and incremental power supply for critical applications.

The MPower MT-100, which houses Elliott's field-tested 100 kW microturbine, represents over a 50% reduction in footprint as compared to previous microturbine products and increases system reliability by eliminating non-essential components. The increased power density is achieved by relocating the power electronics and eliminating the recuperator.

The MPower MT-100 power module is a 100kW microturbine packaged in a Class 1, Division 2 (C1D2) enclosure.

The MPower MT-100 repackages critical power electronics in a climate-controlled shelter to improve reliability. The power electronics can be located in an existing control room for maximum flexibility.
