Petrofac introduces new version of Paris system
Offshore staff
ABERDEEN, UK --Petrofac has launched a new version of its production and allocation reporting system (PARIS) that allows companies to streamline operations without the need for software programmers, according to the company.
Version 5 of PARIS is an SQL Server-based application. It can be used to build any combination of platforms, fields, and wells by means of user selectable drop down and dialog boxes. The configuration can be carried out by a user without the need for any software programming input.
PARIS Version 5 also reads data from offshore metering and supervisory, control, and data acquisition systems to determine precise well production. The software is commercially-supported and web-enabled and it can be accessed via Intranet or secure Internet connection.
The product is currently being used to support operations on the Cendor field, offshore Malaysia.
