BJ Process and Pipeline Services wins India contract

ABERDEEN, UK -- BG Exploration and Production India Ltd. has awarded BJ Process and Pipeline Services a contract to provide nitrogen/helium leak detection testing services for the company's new process facilities on the Tapti gas field offshore India.

The BJ PPS regional headquarters in Dubai will be responsible for primary management of the BGEPIL leak-testing contract, with operational support provided through branch offices in Mumbai and Baroda, India. BJ PPS began work on the contract in July. Operations are expected to be completed late this summer.

BGEPIL holds 30% interest in the joint venture that is executing the NRPOD pipeline project in the Tapti field. The NRPOD pipeline network gathers gas from the Tapti field and the surrounding area. The in-field lines run from the new wellhead platform to the central platform, where the gas is processed, then exported to the onshore Hazira gas plant.
