ABERDEEN, UK --BP has contracted Multiphase Solutions Inc (MSI) for software for its Dimlington onshore compression project in the UK.
Under the $255 million program, BP is commissioning new compression facilities that receive gas from fields in the southern North Sea.
MSI will supply its Virtual Asset Manager suite of real-time, on-line packages for applications including monitoring and optimization. BP will use the software's capabilities to simulate conditions in wells, pipelines, and the onshore processing plant (i.e. separators, compressors, and liquids stabilization equipment).
