CRC-Evans unveils Advantage hydraulic mandrel

TULSA, Oklahoma -- CRC-Evans Pipeline Equipment has unveiled the Advantage hydraulic wedge mandrel. The mandrel requires only a single bending machine operator, as the machine automatically finds its correct position relative to the die without a reach rod.

"Automatic centering means that the cycle times get shorter and jobs move faster," says Fred Lysak, Pipeline Equipment division president. "Setting the pace ahead of the welding crews, especially on long pipelines, means that a contractor can get the pipeline bent and built faster."
