Cobham SATCOM gets FCC accreditation

Cobham SATCOM’s USAT 24 marine stabilized antenna has received a full accreditation FCC license.

CONCORD, California -- Cobham SATCOM’s USAT 24 marine stabilized antenna has received a full accreditation FCC license. The USAT 24 now complies with FCC ESV (Earth Stations on Vessels) regulations. On-satellite testing was conducted on the Intelsat satellite network. Testing was completed on a land-based motion platform and then deployed on a vessel to prove that no degradation in system performance under Coastal maritime conditions.

USAT 24 is a 60-cm (24 in.) stabilized antenna system for broadband connectivity in SCPC or TDMA networks. The USAT 24 is a 2-axis marine stabilized antenna system compatible with Ku-band satellites.
